Motorola began labeling the MODEL as an
I.D. on the tag found on the radio. However the RSS still calls
this tag I.D. the MODEL information:

- VRS model numbers similar to the ones above that end with SP01
are for Syntor X 9000 radios. A SP01 VRS may not work correctly on a
Spectra radio. The SP02 will work correctly on a Syntor X 9000 radio.
The U11 microprocessor chip is the important difference between the
SP01 (U11 part # 0106710T20) and SP02 (U11 part # 0106711T02) VRS.
- The VRS can steer up to 4 modes on the mobile radio using the
portable radio PL tones to select the mobile mode.

- I do not know what the difference is between the P2019A and
P2020A models. The manual did not indicate any difference at all.
- The VRS-EP is only for Astro Spectra. It will not work on a
Spectra or Spectra II and their VRS will not work on an Astro Spectra.
- The VRS can steer up to 8 modes on the mobile radio using the
portable radio PL tones to select the mobile mode.

- The output power is adjustable from 275 mW to 2 Watts.
- The VRS750 is for Astro Spectra, not Spectra.
- I do not know which radio is used for the transceiver, but since
it is synthesized instead of crystal controlled. You will not need a
service manual just to figure out how to change the VRS-750 frequency.
